Cody Garbrandt (11-3) is on his three back to back losing streak since 2017. He dropped his UFC Bantamweight Title to T.J. Dillashaw in his first defense which he owns the title by defeated Dominick Cruz at UFC 207. Cody Garbrandt also lost the rematch with Dillashaw and another lost to Pedro Munhoz by KO at UFC 235.

On the other side, Raphael Assuncao (24-7) is on his back to back two fight skids. Last time he wins against Rob Font on 2018 and after that the 37 years old Raphael Assuncao lost his back to back two fight against Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen in 2019.

One of the UFC’s most-experienced veterans takes on a once-promising fighter to get back on track faces when Raphael Assuncao faces Cody Garbrandt at UFC 250 on June 6th in Las Vegas.
The 37-year-old Assuncao is 27-7 in his career, and has been in the UFC since 2011 with a 11-4 record in the top promotion. He had won four straight fights before losing his last two, falling to Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhangen in his only two fights of 2019. He’s yet to fight for a title in the octagon, and is ranked #5 in the division entering the bout.
Garbrandt was once the hottest name in UFC, winning 11 straight fights to start his career with nine stoppages. But he’s lost three straight all by stoppage, twice to TJ Dillashaw and once to Pedro Munhoz. The luster is off, but he’s still ranked #9 in the division despite being winless since December of 2016. But if the 28-year-old wants to get his career on track, he’ll need a win here.
